Teach the Nation to Code is a free coding workshop which is aimed at inspiring you to start a career in tech.

23rd and 24th of February 2019, 10am to 4pm 


In collaboration with QA Consulting, Northumbria University and Institute of Coding, Teach the Nation to code is a non profit lecture style event which aims to bridge the skills gap within the UK. This event is designed to empower those looking to enter the world of technology with the basic skills to succeed in their journey. Bring your laptop and willingness to learn and we'll teach you Python for free! 

This course is well suited to those with little to no knowledge of python or other programming languages. It would also act as a nice refresher for those who want to stay up to date in their skills as well as for those who would like to expand their knowledge of the libraries available in python. Relevant job roles include researchers, analysts and students from all disciplines.

About the course

As the world enters further into the information age, skills related to programming have become highly desirable by industry and research.

The course will outline how to install python and how to create python applications.

Attendees will learn how to code fundamentals in Python, understand how to process problems and solve them with Python code, use Python for database applications and much much more.
