About the Speaker

Charlotte is Professor of History in the Department of Humanities at Northumbria University. She works on Russia’s cultural and diplomatic relations with the west, the history of the Russian revolution and civil war, and the post-first world war peace settlements.

Charlotte joined Northumbria University as a Senior Lecturer in 2009. Between 2006-2009 she was a lecturer in history at the University of Ulster, in Northern Ireland, and between 2003-2006 she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Historical Research, University of London.
