NUSTEM Showcase Event

The Zone Reception, Ellison Building, City Campus, Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne

Join us for an exclusive showcase of Nothumbria University's ground-breaking work around Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), including a workshop with local primary school children and tour of our state-of-the-art STEM facilities.

NUSTEM has been at the forefront of applying Science Capital concepts, working closely with North East families and fifty partner schools, particularly targeting those in disadvantaged areas. This work has driven over 60,000 focussed engagement opportunities, significantly contributing towards closing the STEM skills gap, supporting a rebalancing of gender divisions in the physical sciences and a more competitive regional economy.

Our workshops, events and courses showcase careers in technology, physical sciences and engineering, giving students and families information to help them make informed decisions about future career directions.

Join us to observe an NUSTEM session with primary children, hear more about our research around STEM themes and find out how you can contribute towards supporting and inspiring young people to choose STEM careers.

Please confirm your attendance by 16 April using the form below. For queries, email nu.events@northumbria.ac.uk
