Closed Loop Supply Chain Workshop 2019

Northumbria University

Conference Introduction

In recent years, new technologies emerge quickly: AI, IoT, 3D printing etc. These technologies all have the potential to enable/support closing the supply chain loop. Meanwhile, many business models have been developed by companies, for example, car subscription, sharing business and so on. These business models themselves are beneficial for re-manufacturing since the companies own the products. However, what are the effects of new technologies and business models on the closed loop supply chain decisions? What does it take to make them better serve the circular economy? The answer to these questions are still not clear. Therefore, CLSC2019 will bring researchers and practitioners together to discuss these issues.
