Northumbria Social Work Conference 2019

The conference programme includes key note speakers and contributions from a range of practitioners, experts/ educators by experience, students, and academics.

You will have the opportunity to learn about Northumbria University’s innovative simulation work, question a diverse panel about how they draw on theory in their practice, and hear from current social work students. There will also be a range of workshops for you to choose from which include, for example, a session on ‘Understanding the Experiences of Women who Self Harm’, ‘Working with self help groups’ and ‘Children and young people displaying technology-assisted harmful sexual behaviour’, amongst others.
