Dr Kelechi Anyigor

Kelechi Theophilus Anyigor, Lecturer in Project Management, Northumbria University Kelechi is a Lecturer in Project Management in the Department of Mechanical and Construction Engineering. He graduated from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria with a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning. He then obtained an MSc in Project Management from Northumbria University, Newcastle. His interest in Urban Development and improvement of deprived communities resulted in a PhD from the School of Built and Natural Environment, Northumbria University. His research interest is the interplay of the social, economic and environmental aspects of deprived urban communities in the delivery of sustainable improvement projects. Before leaving Nigeria for further studies in the UK, Kelechi worked in the real estate industry as an Operations Manager, and later in the education sector, as a Geography tutor. In the UK, he has also worked as Head of the Research and Training Department of a UK-based charity, with operations in Asia and Africa. A role that afforded him the opportunity to work with a team to deliver successful poverty alleviation projects across Africa, Asia and the Uk. Notable among the projects is the establishment of an operational free school for orphans and children from poor homes in Hyderabad, India. Kelechi is passionate about teaching and learning. He has authored books, journals and other research articles.
