Clifford Brown

Senior Lecturer

Department: Computer and Information Sciences

EE Cliffbrown Staffprofile 255Teaching and academic interests include Game Design, Human Computer Interaction and Project Management and Professionalism.  In addition to those teaching commitments, I often find myself teaching key skills such as Academic Writing and Effective Presentations.  I enjoy getting students to recognise the importance of the basics!

I am Programme Leader for B.Sc.  Applied Computing, a Final Year top up degree that caters for students with an HND or Foundation Degree in a relevant subject, and has been very successful over many years with 70-100 students each year. They have the choice of starting either in September or January.

Outside work, I am involved in the community as vice-chair of a Conservation group for one of Newcastle’s hidden gems, the Summerhill Conservation zone, an area of Georgian and early Victorian houses with a large open green area.
