EE Davidbeaneybr Staffprofile 255Teaching-wise; I lecture to both undergraduate degree and masters programmes within our Dep’t of Architecture, Engineering and Construction. This includes includes undergraduate programmes in: Architectural Technology, Building Design Management, Construction Management and Project Management; and postgraduate programmes in to both local and international MSc Programmes in Project Management and also our MSc in Construction Management.

I am a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, and following approximately 10 years in industry predominantly within the independent consultant sector and working mainly in the London and overseas markets, I then joined the Quantity Surveying Team at Northumbria; since then I have been involved in all aspects of academic work and developed my teaching interests in: Construction economics and the business environment; Contracts and procurement; Research skills and methods of enquiry; and  Project environments. In addition I support other educational activities in Integrated Professional Practice Projects and supervising research & dissertations for both undergraduate, and masters level students.
