Dr Elena Benedetti

Elena Benedetti is an applied economist studying the environmental and nutritional aspects related to the food sector. She joined the Northumbria University Business School in October 2021 as a Lecturer in Economics. She holds a BSc in Economics (University of Urbino), MSc in Environmental Economics (University of Siena) and a PhD in Environmental Economics at Newcastle University (UK).

Elena Benedetti

Her research focuses on the environmental economics of food consumption, and their implications on health economics and human nutrition from a micro-econometric perspective. She specialises in demand modelling and the micro-simulation of policy interventions.
