Julie Clarke

Department: Architecture and Built Environment

Clarke JBefore joining the University I worked in the social housing sector for a number of organisations in the North east of England at a senior level.  I have maintained my connection with the profession at a strategic level by holding a series of non-executive director posts across a range of social housing organisations. I am currently a non-executive director on the Board of Vela and one of its Landlord Boards, Housing Hartlepool.
My specific interests teaching and research interests are sustainable regeneration and neighbourhood renewal, community involvement, organisation development  and measuring the social return on financial investment into our communities.
