Dr Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi

Research Fellow

Department: Computer and Information Sciences

I am a Senior Research Fellow with the Northumbria University Digital Learning Lab (nudll.com) in the Computer and Information Sciences Department. My research interests are around the design and use of innovative digital technologies, in particular digital games, augmented and virtual realities for learning STEM subjects. I am also interested in the integration of digital tools in formal learning environments and how the digital literacy of practicing and in-training teachers can be understood and enhanced.

Previously, I worked as a research assistant with NUSTEM (nustem.uk), a widening participation outreach project from the faculty of engineering and environment. I developed tools to capture all kinds of data from STEM activities and interventions, particularly analysing and evaluating data from secondary schools to inform the level of science capital amongst young people in the region.
