Dr Amir Elmi Keshtiban

Amir is a critical organization studies scholar, whose work focuses on alternative forms of organization, critical leadership studies, social movement studies and prefigurative politics. Prior joining Northumbria University, Amir spent four years teaching at Essex Business School. He studied at Essex Business School for his Master of Research and his PhD. He has researched leadership and leaderlessness in leaderless groups using the Occupy London Movement as a case study. His research focused on how ‘leaderless’ social movements are coordinated and sustained by their members.
