Dr Han Meng

Department: Mechanical and Construction Engineering

Han Meng is a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Construction Engineering at Northumbria University. She holds PhD degrees in Acoustics and Mechanics from both Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France) and Xi’an Jiaotong University (China), and a BEng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Xi’an Jiao Tong University (China). Prior to joining Northumbria University, she was a Marie-Curie researcher at the University of Nottingham.

Her research focuses on dynamic and acoustic performance modelling and optimization of acoustic/elastic metamaterials, composite panels and porous materials. She has published more than 30 journals and conference papers and 2 patents.
