Dr Mostafa Mohamad

Assistant Professor

Mostafa is a system analyst by profession and an action researcher by blood. He is a corporate consultant for Strategy, IT management, and Innovation in significant industries such as Energy, Automotive, Telecoms, and Banking.  

He has 18 years of professional and academic experience in the areas of Multi-Layer Systems Development, Digital Innovation, Fitch & Blockchain, Business Analytics, Project Management, e-health, e-Sport, Business Modelling, and e-Supply Chain.

Before joining Northumbria, Mostafa has served as an Assistant Professor in Alliance Manchester Business School, Leeds Business School, and most recently as an Associate Professor at Salford Business School. Formerly, he served 7 years as a supply chain manager in the automotive and telecommunication industries. In addition, he managed to raise research funding for mobile crowd management, and mobile banking research projects sponsored by Innovate UK.

During his time at NBS, Mostafa will lead the MSc Business Analytics Programme and teaches a number of our UG & PG modules in the areas of digital business and business analytics. Mostafa have 9 PhD supervision completions, and co-supervision of 13 PhD thesis.

He is currently developing an international research profile in the area of digital innovation and IT strategy, with a REFERABLE pipeline of high impact journal papers.
