Dr Kevin Robertson

Kevin Robertson Staffprofile Northumbriauniversity255As one of its most experienced Associate Deans, he has been both instigator and reviewer of numerous programme developments (UK and collaborative) covering the full range of delivery methodologies. His role places him at the centre of the University’s learning and teaching strategies, initiatives and policies and includes a range of responsibilities from employer-engagement and business development through to teaching and learning enhancement.

He is active in various quality assurance roles including periodic review, programme validation, collaborative ventures, and is an experienced external examiner and QAA subject reviewer. Kevin teaches motor learning and applied sport psychology.

Kevin’s areas of research interest include imagery in sport and cognitive functioning. His current role is also to facilitate pedagogic research within the School and encourage the links between research and teaching. Beyond the University, Kevin has had extensive involvement with Sports Coach UK including the designing of coach workshops, authoring texts and delivering coaching sessions.
