Academic Support Team

The Academic Support team comprises 44 members of staff located in each of the University's four Faculties. They work with academic staff, apply policy, and use relevant systems and processes for programme management. They also support effective programme activities for all undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, and are involved throughout the student lifecycle. The team is involved in:

  • 'Start of year activities’ such as induction planning and the preparation of programme handbooks
  • Assessment planning and results management, including support for assessment and moderation boards
  • General support for academic staff within each Faculty

Collaborative Ventures Team

Collaborative Ventures provide comprehensive on-course support and quality overview for a range of international and UK partners and programmes. These programmes can be delivered via Franchise, Distance Delivery (Fly-in-Faculty) or Validated. The team’s primary activities are supporting new intakes, confirming invoicing details (based on contractual agreements) and working with the Partner Coordinators to progress and maintain student records through all stages of the student journey. These activities are aligned to Faculty provisions of related programmes and therefore require strong ties to Faculty Heads of International, Directors of Collaborative Ventures and Academic Departments. The team also maintain strong links to the Approvals and Review team during any partnership developments such are new programmes validation or re-validations. A major aspect of the team’s function is to maintain positive, professional interactions with our overseas partners through regular email and video conference communication.

For more information on the approval and review of partner programmes see the Approvals and Review Team page
