Exam Venues and Travel

A variety of locations can be used to accommodate examinations including University classrooms/large areas, gyms, labs, specialist areas, lecture theatres and where necessary large external venues.

Venues will be set up prior to the exam taking place and in many cases internally involve reducing the capacity of the room. Normal teaching set up is arranged to include standard avenues between all desks for effective invigilation.

Internal rooms will have a campus building prefix followed by a number. These are the same as used in teaching timetables, and students should ensure they know the exact location of their examination venue and how to get there prior to the date of the exam.
