Callum vs the Oscars The second Chapter

Callum Stevens Campus Life

Last year I tried to test my cinema prowess and predicting 10 categories after the Academy Award nominations were announced. This year, I have to admit, I have gone with my heart more than my head. This may sound like a cop out but this list is more about what I want rather than what my head says. This is largely because of the circumstances in certain categories. For example, we have the first female nominated for Cinematography, we have Jordan Peele's Get Out, which the director described as a 'documentary, not a horror' and also will it finally be the year that Gary Oldham takes home the Academy Award with his portrayal of Winston Churchill? Regardless of how many I score, it will be a fascinating celebration of a wonderful year in film.
