Return to Professional Practice in Health

This programme is suitable for Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals. It will enable nurses to return to Nursing and renew their professional Nursing registration or return to Allied Health. You will be able to re-enter professional practice having updated your Nursing or Allied Health proficiency, underpinning knowledge and understanding to provide safe and effective service user care. A range of students complete this programme from Nursing, Midwifery, Health Visiting and Allied Health professional backgrounds. The programme employs a range of teaching and learning strategies to equip students to learn together. There is some opportunity for students on this programme to compete the required clinical placement in their area of specialty and this can be negotiated with a local Trust organisation in partnership with the University.

Summative assessment includes an academic assignment of 2,500 words. In order to gain the academic credits students must successfully complete both clinical practice proficiencies and the academic assignment.

The Programme is offered at Level 6 AC6618 (Degree) when students will need to have evidence of diploma level study and be previously registered practitioners.
