Northumbria’s Events department are looking for ‘Student Representatives’ to join their busy team.

You will be required to:

  • Support the Events team with their on-campus events including Open Days, NU Experience Days, Pop-Up Events and more. There will also be opportunities to represent the University online during virtual events for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate markets.
  • Act as a point of contact between potential students and to help positively influence them, as well as offering additional support where necessary.

Job Title:        Student Representative - Events (Undergraduate and Postgraduate roles available)

Hourly: £9.26 (under 23's), £9.87 (23 +)

Job Purpose:  To support the Events team with their on-campus events including Open Days, NU Experience Days and Interviews. To act as a point of contact between potential students and to help positively influence them, as well as offering additional support where necessary.

Responsible to:   Events Support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Events team to deliver a programme of events on campus and online.
  • Representing Northumbria University at on campus events by informing prospective students about the Northumbria University student experience.
  • Delivering engaging and interactive Campus Tours to prospective students and parents/carers, promoting the Northumbria brand and encouraging the recruitment of high quality students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Manage time effectively whilst balancing studies.
  • Support with other activities as part of the preparation for the events.

Location: City Campus & Coach Lane Campus

Attendance Requirements: It is recommended that students at the University, and who are employed by the University, do not exceed 15 hours per week to avoid interference with their studies.
