The Autodesk Revit Architecture 2017 course is delivered by one of BIM Academy’s registered ATC Instructors using a combination of presentations, interactive sessions and videos to provide a comprehensive and stimulating three day course. You will begin by learning the basic 3D modelling tools and progress to producing complete project documentation by the third day. In addition you will be introduced to the Revit’s concept massing tool and cover the key principles of object library creation.

Autodesk Revit architecture is a leading Building Information Modelling (BIM) tool for the design, documentation, visualisation and simulation of projects; from initial concept and massing through to detailed design and as-constructed documentation. As an Autodesk Authorised Training Centre (ATC), BIM Academy offers training courses for all levels from novice through to expert. This 3-day course is aimed at construction professionals wishing to gain a comprehensive introduction, and gain the practical experience to confidently start using the software in practice. 

Delivered at Northumbria University by one of BIM Academy’s registered ATC Instructors using a combination of presentations, and interactive sessions. You will have get extensive, hands-on experience of the software throughout the course.

Underlying knowledge of Architectural design, Drafting or Engineering practises is recommended. Experience of using CAD packages is advantageous but not essential. Delegates should have a working understanding of Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or 7.

  • Module 03 – Element Selection and Manipulation
  • Module 04 – Visibility Control and Categorisation
  • Module 05 – Model Development Methodology
  • Module 06 – Wall Creation and Manipulation
  • Module 07 – Floors, Roofs and Ceilings
  • Module 08 – Window, Door and Component Use

Day 02

  • Module 09 – System Family Editing
  • Module 10 – Basic Schedules and Legends
  • Module 11 – Geometry Formation and In-place Families
  • Module 12 – Massing Tools and the Building Maker
  • Module 13 – Stairs, Ramps and Railings

Day 03

  • Module 14 – Basic Curtain Walls
  • Module 15 – Room Data and Colour-Fill
  • Module 16 – 2D Draughting and Annotation
  • Module 17 – Sheet Compilation and Publication
  • Module 18 – Basic Subdivision and Collaboration
  • Module 19 – Introduction to the Principles of Family Editing

This course is delivered by one of BIM Academy’s registered ATC Instructors.
