This course is a bespoke Continuing Professional Development course. We will work with you to develop training that will fit your organisation’s needs. To receive updates about Continuing Professional Development courses or to find out more about bespoke courses, fill out the enquiry form.

This three-day course is aimed at construction professionals who want to experience the benefits of Business Information Modelling (BIM) tools and gain an insight into the potential for BIM to deliver projects faster, better and more cost-effectively. Working in a multidisciplinary team with colleagues, you’ll develop a real project using the facilities at our training suite at Northumbria University

You’ll be able to use our state-of-the-art BIM software, including the latest Autodesk technology for planning, designing, building and managing. At the same time you’ll receive targeted training and coaching from the instructors at the BIM Academy, which was co-founded by Northumbria University, and which is an Autodesk Authorised Training Centre.

By the end of the workshop your team will have gained hands-on experience of the benefits of BIM tools for a real project. You’ll also have broadened your understanding of BIM processes such as design coordination, model federation, dataset development and export, construction simulation, estimating and cost management. Think of the three-day course as a low-commitment trial of the potential of BIM. Please contact us for further information regarding dates and fees.

If you’re part of a project team or SME that wants to experience Building Information Modelling in a real project environment, come to this course and discover the potential of BIM.

This course takes place at our Newcastle city centre campus, additionally it can also be delivered at our London campus or, if more appropriate for your business, we can also deliver onsite at your own premises.
