This accounting course is designed for those who want to become fully qualified accountants. However it is about more than just numbers; it’s the art of communicating and understanding financial information providing you with excellent prospects for a stable and long-term career in finance and business.
Accountancy at Northumbria holds all available exemptions* from ACCA, AIA, CIMA and the majority of exemptions from AAT, ICAEW and CIPFA meaning you will be exempt from a number of exams you need to be fully qualified. This opportunity to fast-track your career has contributed to 92% of our students leaving fully satisfied with their degree.
The degree offers the flexibility of being completed in either three or four years and includes the option for a placement with organisations such as Procter & Gamble and Ernst & Young. This year in industry will help you apply the skills and knowledge you have acquired during your degree in a professional setting.
Many of our accounting and finance graduates go on to complete professional qualifications with some taking up training contracts with accountancy firms such as PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG.
