caption: Applied Sport and Exercise Science BSc (Hons)If you are excited by the prospect of learning how to work with elite athletes to enhance their performance, or interested in improving the health of the nation, then this Applied Sport and Exercise Science BSc (Hons) course is for you.

With an emphasis on science, you will learn about psychology, physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, strength and conditioning and performance analysis, to enable you to give future sports people the winning edge. You will also cover health-based modules to qualify you for public health roles in which you could be tackling issues such as obesity, heart disease and diabetes.

There is a practical focus to applied sport science, so you will spend time getting to grips with specialist laboratory equipment in our £30 million sport and teaching facility, Sport Central.

By studying sport and exercise science, you will be following in the footsteps of some illustrious sporting greats, including Olympic gold medallist Victoria Pendleton, double Commonwealth champion swimmer Chris Cook and rugby union player Jamie Noon.
