This Biology and Forensic BSc provides you with a strong background in modern biology and forensic science. 

Applying this knowledge in a range of biological and forensic contexts, you will develop practical laboratory- based and transferable skills alongside hands-on analysis, interpretation and presentation of evidence in a court setting. You will also learn about the ethical issues resulting from technological advances in biotechnology, biomedicine and environmental technology.

Biology and Forensic BSc features a variety of teaching methods – lectures, tutorials, seminars and practical classes based in the laboratory.

The degree also includes an optional work placement in the third year to enhance your employability prospects.

During the course you will be encouraged to become a Student Affiliate Member of the Society of Biology, the leading professional body for biosciences.

After graduation you could enter a career in bioscience research, biotechnology, the water industry, scientific civil service, forensic science, teaching, environmental protection and conservation.

89% are in employment or further study within six months of graduating (Unistats 2014).
