Performing Arts Final Year Degree Shows

Want to work with a host of passionate and talented actors, writers and directors? Based in an exciting and cultural scene in the heart of Newcastle, Northumbria University works with young professionals from day one to build a network of connections when you graduate.

Northumbria third year students work closely with Northern Stage to showcase their final production as part of their Undergraduate Performing Arts Showcase: Making, Writing and Performing.

Each year industry partners, media and the public are invited to watch the next generation of performers, writers and makers in two stunning shows, with script readings and discussions also taking place as part of the performances and activities.

In 2015 both shows were directed by two emerging directors, Northumbria graduate Amy Golding, Artistic Director of Curious Monkey Theatre Company and Performing Arts alumna, Rebecca Frecknall, who is part of Northern Stage’s Regional Theatre Directors Scheme.
