Puts you on the path to Chartered Engineer status

Our Electrical Engineering course will give you the technical, analytical and practical skills for a career as an electrical and electronic engineer, thanks to our emphasis on developing creativity and problem-solving through practical projects and the latest technology, such as our Electronic Laboratory

Virtual Instruments System (ELVIS). You will also have the opportunity to target a specific career by choosing electronics, communications or power as your pathway.

Northumbria is a pioneer in renewable energy technology, such as photovoltaics, meaning your teaching will also be uniquely informed by industry-leading research. With modules covering a broad spectrum of the digital electronics market, from computer programming to wireless communication systems, this degree is set to provide you with the knowledge necessary to become a Chartered Engineer. 

Our professionally-focused course will put you on the path to Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET ), giving you the opportunity to work around the world. There is also an optional placement year. Our graduates work for companies such as Intel, Motorola, Siemens and Triumph.
