Business School Of The Year

Have you ever wondered how stock markets work and fortunes are made and lost? Do you want to have a better understanding of global economies and cyclical trends?

This course teaches you about the major elements of financial services. Using our exclusive Bloomberg suite of financial terminals, you will examine real and current market developments and enhance your skills to understand and evaluate factors shaping the modern financial services world.

An optional placement year will see you working for organisations such as the Bank of England, IBM, RBS and Intel. Placements enable you to put theory into practice which can significantly help your final year performance and future career prospects. 

A career in finance can be fascinating and wide-ranging. After graduating you will be equipped to handle such areas as financial markets, investment, banking and business finance. Recent graduates have gone on to work for organisations such as Bloomberg, Deloitte and Brewin Dolphin.

Have you ever wondered how stock markets work and fortunes are made and lost? Do you want to have a better understanding of global economies and cyclical trends?

This course teaches you about the breadth, reach and major elements of financial services. Using our leading-edge suite of Bloomberg data terminals you will use the same data as market traders, in real time, to examine real and current market developments. We will help you understand and evaluate factors shaping modern financial services and enable you to enhance your skills. In the 2014 National Student Survey 95% of our students said they found the course intellectually stimulating.

An optional placement year will see you working for organisations such as the Bank of England, IBM, RBS and Intel. Placements enable you to put theory into practice which can significantly help your final year performance and future career prospects. All of the Finance and Investment Management students who graduated in 2014 having undertaken a placement achieved at least a 2:1 and more than 60% achieved a First.

Recent graduates have gone on to work for organisations such as Money gate, Virgin Money, Bloomberg, Deloitte and Brewin Dolphin. In 2013 95% of our students were in work or further study within six months of graduating (Unistats).
