RSA – Change Makers

Challenge

Use design to eliminate waste, over-production or excessive consumption. Create and produce a design solution that persuades people to consume less, reduce waste and to be more efficient with the planets resources.

Solution

In the quest to convince humankind to consume and waste less, Dustin and Santosh decided to investigate the problem of food wastage. Their solution is a new service design for the logging of food ‘use by’ data, which is accessible by consumers through a smart phone app called ‘Usefull’
