Facilities

Our staff and students have probably…no definitely, the best location in the school of Design - The Top Floor. The natural light streams in along the length of the studio, and the seminar rooms give views across the city rooftops. Our recent move has allowed us to refit the space according to the needs of our students, with a range of high-end furniture in line with industry specifications – the studio is designed to be a place to work but also engage with and be part of the wider student community across all year groups.

We enjoy having:

  • Our own computer lab with 24 PC’s equipped with the latest software programmes. They’re big and they’re fast
  • Student access to 16 additional laptops for more flexible working
  • A range of seating and working options available in the main studio high-back sofas, communal tables, café-style seating, tables fitted with cutting mats etc.
  • Seminar rooms for reviews, presentations, tutorials or quiet working.
  • A separate submission / presentation room.
  • Access to a digital photography studio.
  • Two workshops featuring extensive 3d prototyping facilities and technician support.
  • Exhibition space.
  • Long warm sunny days.
