This course will satisfy both your passion for writing and your love of literature. If you are keen to immerse yourself in classic literature as well as develop journalistic writing skills, this degree will open the door to a wide range of career options including journalism, media, publicity and promotion.

You will be taught by research-active staff through seminars and practical workshops exploring a diverse range of disciplines. Themes covered will include news practice editing, writing and reporting, fiction, literary history and theory.

The specialist modules delivered throughout the course include broadcast journalism, travel writing, celebrity media and sports journalism – ensuring you graduate fully prepared for the industry. 90% of our students go on to employment or further study within six months of graduating (Unistats 2014) which reflects the quality and effectiveness of the course.
