Manage your future with our Business and Management MBus.

Take your learning further. If you have a Level 5 qualification – such as a Foundation or Associate Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) – in a business or management related subject, our Integrated Masters in Business and Management (MBus) will allow you to combine undergraduate and postgraduate study, and achieve a Masters level qualification in around three years.

You’ll explore a combination of modules handpicked to ensure your development, touching on everything from Project Management to Globalisation, Innovation and Sustainability. During each module, you’ll hone your practical and strategic business skills, alongside developing higher Masters level critical reflection, complex problem solving, research and project management capabilities.

Our MBus is designed to be as flexible as possible. You’ll be able to study whenever and wherever it suits you, while still having access to our great teaching and online research facilities. Plus, you'll be able to pay for your fees in module-by-module instalments, spreading the cost over the duration of your studies.

This is your chance to build on your existing studies, graduate with a specialised Masters level qualification ‒ a hallmark of excellence which could help you stand out to employers - and get there faster than with traditional study routes.

If you have a question about our course, please visit our FAQs page.

Not sure you’re ready for a Masters? We also offer a distance learning BA (Hons) Business and Management Top Up.

Newcastle Business School strives to produce responsible business leaders with the expertise needed to create an inclusive and sustainable society. Our three main research areas will permeate every aspect of this course.

Responsible Business

We are at the forefront of sustainable entrepreneurship, business and management. As a signatory of the UN sponsored Principles of Responsible Management Education, we are committed to promoting these issues in our teaching, consulting and research. You’ll explore the cultural and ethical contexts in which international businesses operate, and come to understand the impact organisational decision making has on our wider society and environment. You’ll even have the chance to focus on this in detail during our Globalisation, Innovation and Sustainability module towards the end of the programme.

Digital Business

Over the duration of your MBus course, you’ll explore in-depth how rapid technological innovation is leading to unprecedented advancements for business, the economy and society. Designated modules on Digital and Data Driven Marketing will ensure that you’re ahead of the game and ready to harness its potential.

Strategic Innovation & Entrepreneurial Leadership

We’re committed to investigating strategic entrepreneurial leadership and innovation. Throughout the course, designated study units on Strategy and Entrepreneurial Leadership will assist you along the path to becoming a more creative, effective business leader.

We have handpicked our modules to ensure they help you to stand out in the commercial market, developing both your “soft skills” and advanced analytical competencies.

You’ll take broad-base business modules, including Digital and Data Driven Marketing and Project Management, as well as those dedicated to enhancing your employability, such as Analysing Self for Strategic Career Development and Business Analytics for Management.

Upon graduation, you’ll have gained the practical and research skills, and critical self-awareness needed to take the next step in your career – whether that’s into a more senior position in your current organisation, a leadership role elsewhere or even starting your own business.

Even before graduation, you’ll be able to put your new skills and knowledge into practice and make a difference to your commercial performance. We will support you to apply the theories you learn to real world situations and tailor your projects and assessments, including your final Masters level thesis, to your current role.

As a Northumbria University student, you’ll also be able to tap into our Careers and Employment Service, which offers a range of resources and support online.
