Do you enjoy keeping up-to-date with current affairs, and have an interest in media and the online and digital industries?

This course will fully equip you with the technical expertise to meet the demands of this thriving industry. It will teach you the fundamentals of journalism practice and theory, including news writing, the law and ethics, media production skills in producing, creating and writing for films.

Alongside experienced journalism staff you will be supported by visiting experts from the media industry.

Throughout the course you will also have the opportunity to choose to study a variety of modules such as sport journalism, celebrity media and practical magazine journalism to enhance your learning experience.

You will undertake a number of film productions, culminating in your third year where you will combine all of the skills learnt to complete a major project, preparing you to enter the industry.

The skills you will gain on this course will make you a highly employable graduate with a wide range of professions to choose from, including digital news media, newspapers, radio, film and television production. Some of our recent graduates are currently working for Take That Ltd, Real Radio, Metro Radio and The New Musical Express to name a few.
