A more sustainable world – how we’re preparing surveyors for the challenge

In an urbanising world, we must protect our environment. Read how our Surveying MSc is creating surveyors who are ready for the task.

In today’s rapidly urbanising, but increasingly aware, world, the construction and property industries are having to constantly adapt to keep pace with demand, while minimising the harmful environment impact of their activities.

New materials, construction techniques, building services innovations are coming to market with increased speed. One example of this is photovoltaic panels; previously the preserve of space vehicles just twenty years ago, this technology is now a common sight across the built environment.

The best surveyors embrace these changes and look to protect the future.

Our Construction and Sustainable Technologies module will see you exploring the fundamentals of construction technology in the context of our overall society’s aim to mitigate climate change, and learning more about the advancements being made across surveying to tackle this pressing global issue.

Offered on each of our four Surveying MSc courses, the module covers everything from low carbon designs to water conservation, ensuring you become an expert in the next big industry trends. You’ll also develop the confidence needed to apply this knowledge within your own practice, helping you to make your mark on the industry and stand out to employers.

Help build a more sustainable global society, whilst transforming your own career prospects.
