The differing psychologies of human beings is one of the most fascinating subjects that anyone can study, so it’s no surprise that this is one of our most popular masters degrees.

MSc Psychology has been specially-designed for students with a background in any discipline who are interested in the subject and want to learn more to be able to move their careers into this area, or have a better understanding of what makes people tick.

Available full- and part-time, the course is structured to support students to be able to carry on with their careers outside of the classroom, with full-time sessions delivered exclusively on Mondays and Tuesdays only.

The basis of the course covers topics including critical thinking and reading, computer use and presentations and experimental design and analysis. Students can then choose to specialise in specific topics in their research thesis, such as personality, child development, sleep, nutrition and brain function, ageing, memory and visual perception.

With specialist psychological and computing facilities as well as dedicated working space for masters students to support you during your study, you will graduate from our MSc Psychology with the opportunity to acquire the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society – the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist.

Graduates typically secure specialist roles in management, advertising, marketing and human resources, with many moving into the public sector for careers in the police and prison services, health and social services or education.
