By studying this BSc (Hons) Psychology with Sport Sciences, you will gain an understanding of the theories and practices behind how we think and behave. To do this you will draw upon disciplines within psychology including cognitive psychology, psychobiology, development and social psychology. In addition you will learn about the practical aspects of physiology, anatomy and biomechanics.

You will learn in a range of ways from lectures, workshops and practical sessions delivered by our approachable, research-engaged staff. During the degree you will utilise our state-of-the-art facilities such as the sports research laboratories.

In your final year you will also conduct your own original piece of research allowing you to graduate with not only a degree in psychology with sport sciences but also valuable transferable skills in problem-solving and critical thinking. This project may have a sports theme.

In developing your understanding of both BSc (Hons) Psychology and Sports Sciences, you will be well-placed for a career in research, counselling, sport and exercise psychology, sport science or further education.

Upon graduation, the British Psychological Society (BPS) will allow you to apply for Graduate Membership of the Society*; the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist**.

The course also provides an excellent preparation should you wish to pursue accreditation with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).
