As part of the degree you will explore complex contemporary theoretical and practical sport management issues, which you will investigate in a real world context.

For example, in the second year of the Sports Management degree course you will apply and improve your sport management skills, as part of a nine week placement with a sport industry partner.

If you are committed, enjoy a challenge, and want to help to manage the sport industry, as a sport marketer, entrepreneur, agent, facility, media, policy, financial, or events manager, the Northumbria University Sport Management degree will help you to achieve this.

Previous Northumbria University Sport Management graduates are currently managing at the highest levels within a wide variety of local, national, and global organisations; for example, Manchester United FC, Nova International, Tottenham Hotspur FC, the International Paralympic Committee, Lucozade Sport, Nike Ireland, the Qatar Olympic Committee, Club-Football China, and numerous other high profile sports organisations.
