Payment Terms for UK/EU Masters Students

Students can pay the full fee for any course on or before enrolment should they wish.

Full Time and Part Time Masters Level

For UK and EU self-funding* both full time and part time students, we are happy to offer the option of spreading the cost of your tuition fees over three instalments throughout your year of study interest free. 

This reflects that many Postgraduate Students will be in receipt of funding from the Student Loans Company, which is also paid in three instalments. However, should you wish to discuss flexible payment plans please contact our finance department, you can contact them here.

Alternatively, if you are studying part time and your invoice is less than £600, this should be paid in full on or before enrolment. 

 

Full Time Postgraduate Research Level

For UK and EU self-funding* full time students, we are happy to offer the option of spreading the cost of your tuition fees over two equal instalments throughout your year of study interest free.

The first instalment should be paid on or before enrolment, and the second instalment is due four months after enrolment.

 

Part Time Postgraduate Research Level

For UK and EU self funding* part time students, if the invoice is less than £600, this should be paid in full on or before enrolment. If the fee is above £600, then this can be split into six equal instalments, with the first instalment to be paid on or before enrolment.

 

*Self-funding - This includes students who are in receipt of a Government loan.

Payments:

The first payment is due on or shortly before enrolment, with subsequent payments due on the first working day of the month they are due thereafter. Payments can be made by:

  • Direct Debit
  • Online e-payments system
  • Our automated telephone payment system - 0191 2702 444
  • Bank transfer

Terms & Conditions:

  • Interest free payment terms only available to UK & EU students who are self-financing their postgraduate tuition. This includes students who have taken out a Government Loan.
  • Students may not be permitted to graduate in the event of unpaid tuition fees.
  • Continued failure to maintain payments as part of the payment plan may lead to exclusion from the programme of study.  If there are concerns over payment, please contact the finance office on 0191 227 4050 as soon as possible.
  • Methods of payment accepted include: Direct Debit, Maestro, Visa Debit, Visa, MasterCard, Cheque or Bank Transfer.  Please note that unfortunately, we cannot accept American Express payment.
  • Students eligible for alumni and/or scholarship discounts will see these applied to their fee account, reducing the instalment amount.
