The University is proud to extend its supporter partnership with Enterprise-Rent-A-Car and introduce the Enterprise-Rent-A-Car Postgraduate Business Scholarships.  The scholarship will award five highly talented students who choose to study on one of the below Business courses* in September 2022 with £2,000 during their one year Postgraduate degree.  The money can be used to enhance the overall university learning experience.

Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for The Enterprise-Rent-A-Car Scholarships you must:

  • Be a UK/Home applicant with 'Home' fee status
  • Apply to study on one of the below eligible courses* commencing September 2022 at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus
  • Meet the terms and conditions and accept your offer
  • Be a self-funded student - ie; not have fees which are paid in full or in part through a sponsorship arrangement (employer funded)

Eligible Courses*

Important Information

  • The students selected for The Enterprise-Rent-A-Car Scholarships will not be eligible for other Northumbria Scholarships which includes, The Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship and The Santander Scholarship
  • The successful students will be eligible for the Alumni Discount
  • The scholarship is awarded as a cash sum
  • The successful students will receive a £2,000 cash payment on an eligible one year Business course* at the Newcastle Upon Tyne Campus
  • The cash award will be paid as: 25% in November 2022, 25% in February 2023, and 50% in May 2023
  • The successful student will be required to send a thank you letter and progress updates to the donor
  • If you do not provide a thank you letter and progress updates to the donor, the scholarship will be withdrawn
  • If you defer your place, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn
  • If you decide to leave your course after a scholarship payment has been made, the University will not make efforts to reclaim the amount
  • Northumbria reserves the right to withdraw this scheme at any point
  • The University's decision is final and cannot be challenged; there is no right of appeal

 

Selection Process

  • There is a competitive selection process for this scholarship scheme.  Applicants need to apply via online written application; a selection panel will consider all eligible applications.  In no more than 1000 characters;  'How do you feel business managers should address and can help raise awareness of issues around sustainability and the environment?' - Applications will be considered on the strength of response and will be assessed by the relevant course academic.
  • The successful applicants will be notified once the evaluation panel has met, by no later than Friday 23 September 2022.
