The Hertford Scholarship 23/24

The Hertford Scholarship for September 2023

At Northumbria, we are passionate about bringing together our inspirational courses, forward-thinking staff and innovative students to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. We champion students who are curious, hardworking and academically gifted.

Established by alumnus Nigel Gilbert, the Hertford Scholarship was set up in order to support a talented student to achieve their goals in the Marketing field.  Since studying at Northumbria University in the 1990s, Nigel has progressed onto a successful career in Digital Marketing.  He recognises the impact of his time here at Northumbria, both on a personal and a professional level, and wishes to give something back by helping to transform the life of a Northumbria Undergraduate student.  This is the second gift from Nigel to support Northumbria students through a scholarship.

This scholarship will award one student studying on one of the below eligible courses* £2,000 cash per year (to a total of £6,000**) during their Undergraduate studies.  The money can be used to support and enhance the student’s learning and overall university experience.

If you are ready to start your university journey with Northumbria, create your best future, and meet the criteria below, then apply for your course now and you will automatically be considered for the Hertford Scholarship.
