UCAS APPEALS

Is there an appeal process as I am unhappy with my grades?

If you feel that you grade is incorrect then you do have the option to appeal.  The government guide for students explains the appeals process for General Qualifications such as A levels and GCSE's, as well as Vocational Qualfications. (link below to hyperlink) Your school or college will be able to advise you on the appeals process and should be your first point of contact if you are unsure and most qualification awarding body  have information that is regularly being updated on their websites.

Northumbria, in due course,  will be regularly updating this page, and contacting our offer holders with further information on what you need to do, if you decide to appeal and are holding an offer with us. We will also have a dedicated hotline available from the 5th July 2021, to answer any questions you have on the appeals process.

I have not met the conditions of my firm choice at Northumbria, is there another option?

If you have not met the conditions of your firm choice at Northumbria we may offer you the option of a four year route which would be your original course plus a one year preparatory foundation year. You will have the opportunity to discuss this course with our academic team to understand the benefits of studying a foundation year, before you make any decision.

Where can I get more information and help?

For further information about the process of awarding qualifications this summer, including a helpline for advice and guidance, please view the government advice here:
