Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

Because Northumbria university offered a two year placement and has an exceptional reputation amongst my friends who have attended previously, be BA or MA.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Newcastle is awesome, I am a Geordie. I am a father so I spend alot of time in the parks, museums and surrounding outdoors.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The increase in culture, arts, science etc that both Northumbria and Newcastle University have brought into the city.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The learning process and lectures.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My small group workshop teacher, Rachael Morris.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Rachael Morris and Michael Fowle

What is your favourite place on campus?

The Business School.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

To retain calm and not be as reactionary.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

MbA

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

Yes, I have been involved in several projects, developing management competance. Speaking in front of the board at John Lewis - one woman was an absolute nightmare, this made me anxious and unhappy, however, I could reflect on this though.

Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips? If so, please tell us about them.

Yes, I have been to Kielder for an adventure weekend and to alberman for an assault course. Both were beneficial and enjoyable as I love the outdoors.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Research your course. Stay moderatly sober and remember how much you are paying.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Invigorating, stimulating, frustrating.

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes!
