Postgraduate Event Representative

As a valued member of the Postgraduate Marketing Team, Postgraduate Events Reps are essential in delivering a wide variety of events across the year. You will help to set up and deliver a range of on-campus events as part of the wider postgraduate recruitment campaign, encouraging event attendees to study at Northumbria.

Over the recruitment cycle, there will be a number of events that you will get involved in, from small-scale on-campus pop ups, to larger open days and graduation events. You will assist with setting these events up, ensuring that they are well signposted and information is available for attendees. You will also act as a point of contact for prospective students, providing information about the event and the University, leading campus tours and talking about your course.

If you’re interested in getting involved, promoting Northumbria and delivering great customer service to prospective students, we want to hear from you. Hourly rate is £8.18 or £8.67 (for over 25s). Hours of work will be ad-hoc, dependent on the events calendar.

Postgraduate Digital Content Creator (UK & EU)

A unique opportunity to work with the University’s Postgraduate Marketing Team. You will be contributing to the production of digital content for both our corporate website and the Northumbria University student blog, The Hub.

Digital content may include blog articles, photography, video presenting, video editing, podcast creation, interviews with staff and students, live broadcasts on our social media platforms, and more.

Content and messaging may include sharing your experience as a postgraduate student, ‘hints and tips’ for fitting postgraduate study around your life, advice on funding postgraduate study, reviewing events, creating videos showcasing the campus and interviewing other students and staff.

The successful candidates will hold one or more of the following skills:

  • Video editing skills – Adobe Creative Cloud experience preferred. (Premiere Pro for video editing and After Effects for animated videos).
  • Photography & videography skills – Comfortable using DSLR & mirrorless cameras for photography and filming, basic image editing skills (Adobe Photoshop preferred).
  • Copywriting skills – audience appropriate writing for the student blog and more corporate copy where required
  • Presentation & camera-facing skills – Presenting live broadcasts, on-camera interviews & videos for The Hub etc.

Postgraduate Digital Content Creator (International)

Would you like to share your experience as a Northumbria student? We are recruiting a group of International students to create digital content to show the excellent experience of being a Northumbria student.

You will be an active member of the Postgraduate Marketing Team and showcase Northumbria University from various perspectives. We are looking for students who are keen on contributing ideas and skills to produce digital content in order to inspire students to apply for Northumrbria's Postgraduate courses.

Content and messaging may include sharing your experience as a Postgraduate student, ‘hints and tips’ for fitting postgraduate study around your life, advice on funding postgraduate study, reviewing events, creating videos showcasing the campus and interviewing other students and staff (in both English and successful candidates’ first languages where applicable).

The successful candidates will attend one or more training sessions to improve the following skills:

  • Video editing skills – Adobe Creative Cloud experience preferred. (Premiere Pro for video editing and After Effects for animated videos).
  • Photography & videography skills – Comfortable using DSLR & mirrorless cameras for photography and filming, basic image editing skills (Adobe Photoshop preferred).
  • Copywriting skills – audience appropriate writing for the student blog and more corporate copy where required
  • Presentation & camera-facing skills – Presenting live broadcasts, on-camera interviews & videos for The Hub etc.

Postgraduate Outreach Representative

A unique opportunity to work with the University’s Postgraduate Marketing Team. You will act as an ambassador for postgraduate study at Northumbria University, inspiring and encouraging current undergraduate students and other prospective postgraduate students to apply to study at Northumbria.

You will act as a point of contact and an advocate on campus, leading a range of pop-up events, both in lectures and central student spaces. You will be positive and enthusiastic about Higher Education, in particular promoting the excellence of Northumbria and relating this to your own personal Higher Education journey.

If you think you’ve got the skills and a desire to work in a marketing environment, or have a passion and commitment for postgraduate study at Northumbria, we want to hear from you. Hourly rate is £8.18 or £8.67 (for over 25s). Office hours will be negotiable around your timetable but a commitment of 10-15 hours per month over the next ten months is anticipated.
