Scholarly Communications Librarian (Research Data)

As Scholarly Communications Librarian you will be responsible for providing specialist professional expertise to deliver a major area of the University Library’s support for Learning and Research including service planning and development.

Your knowledge of relevant information standards will ensure efficient and effective discovery, access, interoperability, automation, and sharing of research data and you will enable, monitor, and report on compliance with internal University policy and externally set requirements.

We are looking for a dynamic professional whose proven professional practice encompasses a working knowledge of current issues associated with research data management enabling the creation of researcher focused services offering seamless scholarly workflows to enable data registration deposit and publication through the research cycle. You will also have the ability to supervise, inspire and motivate others, developing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues across the service, University and with external stakeholders where relevant.
