Dr Rasha Nouraldeen

Lecturer

Dr. Nouraldeen is a Lecturer in Accounting and Financial Management and a Deputy Programme Leader Accounting, Finance, and Economics (Foundation Year). She has taught in higher education institutions for over 18 years. She received her PhD in accounting and auditing from Beirut Arab University (BAU) (2021). Her PhD thesis focused on internal audit quality, coordination between internal and external auditors, and audit report lag. In addition, she holds the following degrees from BAU: a Master's degree in advanced accounting and auditing (2008), a post-graduate diploma in advanced accounting and auditing (2006), a post-graduate diploma in Business and Finance (2005), and a BS in accounting (awarded Jamal Abdel Naser prize, 2004). Before joining Northumbria University, she was an assistant professor in accounting and auditing at BAU (2021-2023) and has taught at several universities. Her admin roles included Director of the MBA Programme.

Dr. Nouraldeen taught and developed several accounting and auditing courses for undergraduate and postgraduate university levels. She supervised many Masters', DBA, and PhD dissertations in different topics related to accounting, auditing, and corporate governance. She is a reviewer for several journals and was awarded a Peer Review Quality Certificate from Emerald Publishing (2022). Her research interest is in the following areas: auditing, financial accounting, and corporate governance.
