Higher Education Without Barriers

Scholarships, outreach programmes and enterprise support give our students the opportunity to explore their higher education ambitions to the limit, while hardship bursaries and well-being services offer a lifeline when challenges arise.

In January 2022, the University launched the Higher Education Without Barriers Fund. Through this Fund, we are providing a range of financial initiatives, mental health and wellbeing services and community-based outreach projects to enable students from all backgrounds to study and succeed at Northumbria.

Since launching, donations to the Higher Education Without Barriers Fund have reached almost £4m, helping to support over 2,500 students across the Northumbria University community.

With your help we can continue to build on this success and make a difference.
