Dual Offers

For the majority of our offers for undergraduate courses we will make a Dual Offer if there is an appropriate extended degree route including a foundation programme. A dual offer is an offer for the degree programme which also includes a reserved place offer for the same degree programme extended including the foundation programme (assuming the conditions of the extended route are met). This means that if when applicants receive their exam results they have obtained results below our offer requirements but achieved the foundation entry criteria, we will automatically change your offer to be the extended degree route at confirmation (when we receive results).

As an example, a typical offer for a BSc in Social Sciences may be a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points. If an applicants does not achieve this but obtains at least 80 points we will automatically offer a place on the Social Sciences Foundation.

You are not obliged to accept any alternative offer at confirmation but we will ensure that you have the option to discuss the extended degree option with our academic teams.
