Get Ready For Success: Attend a Mock Assessment Centre

Feeling nervous about assessment centres? Graduate Futures is running mock assessment centres to help you prepare, practice and feel more confident in tackling this key part of the recruitment process.

What is an assessment centre?

An assessment centre is a common part of the recruitment process for many graduate roles and placements. They involve a combination of tasks and activities, often in group settings, to test your skills and suitability for a role. These assessments give employers a chance to observe and see how you handle challenges and work with others - skills that can be hard to demonstrate in a traditional interview.

If the idea feels daunting you're not alone. That's why we are offering mock assessment centres to give you the chance to practice in a supportive and realistic environment. Book now for our workshop on Monday 10 February 2025, 1pm - 4pm and Tuesday 11 February 2025,  4pm - 7pm, Great Hall, Sutherland Building, Newcastle campus.

At this session you will get the chance to:

  • Develop confidence and skills, ready for the real thing.
  • Take part in group activities to experience what an assessment centre is like.
  • Get tailored feedback from experienced professionals to understand your strengths and areas where you can improve.
  • Get hints and tips on what to expect and how to perform well on the day.

So why not come along?! You will practice three group assessment tasks, receive personalised feedback, as well as hints and tips on what to expect and how to perform well on the day. Spaces are limited, so secure your place today!
