Our Alumni - Work For Us
We know that many employers with apprentices will have questions or concerns, and we hope that these frequently asked questions will help with these. Please note that we will be updating this page regularly, as we receive new guidance or as the situation changes. We are here to support you, so please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions at all on rg.da.academic.support@northumbria.ac.uk.
If you were looking for general information for updates related to Covid-19 from the University they can be found here.
At Northumbria, we have always placed an emphasis on face-to face learning. Following the Government’s removal of many restrictions we are now moving towards a blended learning delivery with includes a mix of on campus and online resources. Core learning will take place on campus through interactive group sessions and there will be access to digital hubs, classrooms, laboratories, studios and clinics, and the University Library. Delivery may differ from programme to programme and your apprentice will be informed of delivery pattern by their Programme Leader.
Our University libraries, IT hubs and study spaces such as labs, workshops and studios on campus are all open to students and staff in line with the latest Government guidance. Ask4Help will be open to provide students with face to face support and the Students’ Union will be open with extra space for students to study or relax. More information about facilities available to apprentices and up to date statements regarding the Covid-19 measures we have taken can be found here.
If you require more detail, please contact us at rg.da.academic.support@northumbria.ac.uk
The University’s position is that the campus is the normal place of delivery. Any apprentice who has concerns due to an underlying health condition or a compelling reason preventing them from returning should contact Ask4Help via the student portal.
Apprentices have received recent communications with regards to returning to campus and staying safe, induction events and timetables. Staff are in contact with apprentices regarding teaching and assessment via Blackboard. Apprentices should contact Ask4Help via the student portal if they have any further questions.
