I want to come to Campus, when are your next Open Days?

We hold a number of Open Days and Events throughout the year, which offer the opportunity to see the campus, meet academic staff and find out more about the support services offered at Northumbria.

The next Open Event will take place on Wednesday 12 February 2020 between 12.30 - 4.00pm. We will also be holding a weekend event on Saturday 21 March 2020 from 10.00am - 2.00pm. You can book onto one of our events here.

Is it possible to speak with teaching staff from my course?

A limited panel of our academic staff will be joining us for a live stream during the event. If you have a question you would like them to answer, navigate to the 'Live Event' tab and click the blue 'Ask' button where you can submit your question. Please note, academics will only be able to answer questions about courses on which they teach, or generic questions about studying at Northumbria.

If your course is not represented during the event, you can chat live with our Applicant Services or Postgraduate Marketing teams using our live chat function - just click the 'Live Chat' bubble in the bottom corner of your screen.

Alternatively, you can send us an email and we'll put you in touch with the relevant member of staff.

What are the entry requirements for my Course?

All of our courses have different entry requirements, for information relating to your course of interest, access the course webpage here.

If you have specific questions relating to your eligibility or experience, please join our live chat using the 'Live Chat' bubble in the corner of your screen, or contact bc.applicantservices@northumbria.ac.uk.

What are the tuition fees?

What should I include in my personal statement?

Firstly, it is always best to look at your course page and see what entry requirements are – some courses will require more information than others. As a starting point, it is useful to write a few paragraphs on-

  • Reasons for wanting to study the course
  • Your aspirations, career/ future plan
  • Work/volunteering experience related to the subject

You can then supplement this with any additional information relating to the course entry requirements.

You can also check out this video by Careers Adviser Andy Fishburn with helpful hints and tips for writing your personal statement.

If you need any additional information, please join our live chat or contact bc.applicantservices@northumbria.ac.uk
